Denver Broncos – Overcoming The Laughs
Throughout the several years between the merger with the NFL and AFL in 1970 and the most recent a long time on the combined League’s history, no team has seen a bigger turnaround than the once-lackluster Denver Broncos. Their stadium at Mile-High sells out on a regular basis, and their presence inside NFL has led them from bottom from the basement American Football League results to the NFL Championship decades. Fans who have studied the pathetic history of the team throughout its time inside AFL recognize just how dramatic the turnaround has been.
A new team in old clothes
To obtain an idea of just how pathetic the old Broncos had been, you only need to look at their early a long time. From their founding in 1959, the team’s owner never seemed to have the cash on hand to supply even the barest of essentials for his players. They had been forced to wear hand-me-down uniforms that were left more than from college bowl games of past many years, along with hideous socks with vertical striped. Even Cindy Lauper’s garish sense of style at the peak of her career would have looked normal if seen next to a Broncos uniform. The only bright spot from the early decades on the Broncos uniforms came in their third season when they quite publicly destroyed the socks in a fire – an event that was at least therapeutic for the players and fans.
The early a long time with the group
It was not as although the team required ridiculous clothing to elicit laughs in those days. Their play was frequently as hideous as the uniforms they wore. Perhaps the brightest spot in those early a long time came with the team’s 1967 AFL-first victory more than an NFL opponent – though it was hardly a sign of great things to come. In reality, from the team’s founding until the merger of 1970, the Denver Broncos racked up the very worst record of any from the old AFL teams. They lost ninety-seven games, while winning only thirty-nine. It nearly makes one wonder why the fans in Denver even bothered to buy all of the season tickets in 1965 when the group was thinking about moving to one more city.

Koozie Nut
So I have to start out by making a silly confession. Up until recently I had no idea that the word Koozie existed. I also didn’t have any idea waht a Koozie was when a friend told me they had one. Since I Google everything, here was another hunt I could go on!
A beverage cool, they cover your drink and keep it cold longer. I have to admit that as a teenage girl who enjoyed watching sports I may have owned what I now know is a Koozie. The Koozie may have stated for the world to see that “if it sweats and wears a number, I’ll watch it”. I had no idea these babies were still out there. What a great gift idea for my friends. I immediately decided that my son’s baseball team needed some. Well, at least the parents and coaches needed a little something to show off their team support. And it was fun to have them at all the games. The kids had matching uniforms and we silly parents had matching personalized can koozies.
These items are so easy to order and enjoy that I may have also gotten them for our family when we went to a large family reunion. They are functional, fun and easy to keep clean. I still can’t believe that I went so long thinking the Koozie was gone forever. Well, I have a couple new ones in my life and have placed good old reliable into semi retirement. My original Koozie is hanging right in there for a few more bbqs.
Any time we have to get a gift I think of unique personalized koozies I can get for the recipiet. I love getting them customized with a favourite quote and or sports team logo. How can you really be a sports fan if your not drinking your beverage during the game out of something without your team logo!
Happy shopping, but you don’t have to get as carried away as I do.
